Float
11. How many pods do you have

We have 4 pods in total. 3 of them are single-person float pods, and 1 of them is a couple pod allowing 2 people to float inside the same pod together at the same time.

Float
12. What type of salt is used in the pod, and is it safe?

We put approximately 500kg of food-grade Epsom Salt into each pod to create a safe and buoyant environment for effortless floating. Epsom Salt is a naturally occurring compound of magnesium and sulfate, well-known for its therapeutic benefits, including improved sleep quality, relaxation, and anti-inflammatory properties.

Float
13. What happens if I fall asleep during my float session?

You will stay afloat and the water buoyancy will keep you supported at all times. While some people do fall asleep during their float, it is important to note that not everyone does. If you do fall asleep, it is a sign that your body is getting the quality rest it needs. However, in most cases, people are not sleeping but rather drifting into a deeper meditative state, which can help improve mental clarity and reduce stress.

Float
14. What if I need to get out of the pod during my session?

You can get out anytime if needed. You can easily open and close the pod lid anytime during your session. We also have a bench in each room where you can sit and rest if you want to.

Float
15. I am bringing a friend, should we choose 2 pods or 1 pod?

It depends on your preference. If you are looking for a solitary experience and some me-time, we recommend booking 2 pods so you can each float separately, in this way, you can adjust settings to your liking or be fully immersed in the sensory-deprived experience. However, if you are looking for bonding and a shared experience, floating together in 1 pod will be a good option.

Float
16. Why float together in a couple pod? Does it not defeat the purpose of sensory deprivation?

Floating in a couple pod may seem like it goes against the idea of sensory deprivation, but it can actually be a good option for some people. For example, if one person is hesitant about floating alone, floating with a trusted companion at the beginning of their float journey can be very reassuring. Additionally, we have some couples who make it a routine to float together monthly as a way to deepen their connection and share a unique, non-verbal experience. Some couples may gradually choose to float separately to customize their float experience for individual preferences, such as audio options, temperature, more space or other settings.

Float
17. Can I float if I have recently dyed my hair or applied tanning products?

If your hair dye or tanning products have fully set and there is no longer any risk of the color bleeding or staining the water, then you are good to float. It should take at least a week.

Float
18. Can I float for a shorter or longer duration?

Our standard float session is 60 minutes, but if you prefer a longer duration, you can book a 120-minute session (2 sessions of 60 minutes), etc. We do not offer shorter sessions, but you are welcome to exit the pod earlier if you wish. You are welcome to share your experience with our float guide, we float a lot and are happy to offer intuitive ways to enhance and explore other options for your future floats.

Float
19. Do I need to close the pod lid?

It is up to you. If you don't have a preference, we recommend closing the pod lid during your float to maximize the sensory deprivation experience. This helps to block light and sound, and keep the air and water warm inside the pod. However, if you feel more at ease leaving it open or halfway open, you are welcome to do so too. We also provide a blue sponge in each room for people who prefer to leave a gap between the lids.

Float
20. What if I am claustrophobic or have anxiety about enclosed spaces?

There is a lot of space in our pods, just like in a car, and you can easily open the door and get out anytime. When you come in for your pod intro, we ensure you any worries about closing the lid will naturally melt away. You will see how easy it is to open and close the pod’s lid at any time, and the button to turn on and off the light inside the pod at any time. If you prefer, you can even choose to keep the lid open or halfway open until you feel ready to close it for the full experience too. Many people with this initial concern have successfully floated with us and still enjoying their therapeutic float journey.

Float
21. Can I float if I don’t know how to swim?

You don’t need to know how to swim. The water is very buoyant and the 500kg of Epsom salts is what keeps you afloat effortlessly. Some people will even fall asleep during the session as it is just too comfortable when your body can completely surrender to the water. We also have a halo ring (float headrest) provided if you want a little extra head support.

Float

With our schedule, a maximum of 2 float pods are available for each time slot. Float
28. What are the things I need to be aware of before I float?

If you have a large open wound, it's best to wait until it is fully healed. For small cuts, we provide waterproof spray plaster or Vaseline in our powder room. If you have recently dyed your hair or used tanning products, you will need to wait until the color has settled before floating. It is also recommended to have a light meal before your float, and to avoid an empty or overly full stomach. Lastly, for ladies, we recommend waiting until after your menstrual cycle to float.

Float
29. Can I use my own music in the pod?

We do not offer the option to plug your own music into the float pod. However, we offer a variety or audio tracks to choose from, including Dreamspapes and solfeggio frequency, although silence in the float tank is bliss. and even silence if you prefer.

Float
30. How do you clean the pods?

Water hygiene is of utmost importance to us. Our float pods are well-equipped and it is mandatory for all the water to run through a filtration cycle after every session. Our Dreampod system includes filtering water through a 10-micron filter, capable of filtering debris in the water that’s 1/4 the size of the diameter of a human hair, followed by the additional use of a UV light array. Our Epsom Salt water (salty) is at 42% salt-to-water ratio, not only does the water buoyancy allow anyone to float weightlessly to relax, but it is also tough for any microorganism to survive in this extreme salt content of the water. We also use alcohol wipes to sanitize the frequently touched surfaces on the pod and the room between each float session.

Float
31. How often should I float?

For best practice, we recommend floating on a weekly basis. Regular floating can be highly beneficial for your physical, mental, and emotional health. However, we understand that everyone's needs and schedules are different. Some people find that floating more or less frequently works better for them. You may refer to our float frequency guide for suggestions. If you are new to floating and not sure, our float guides are also happy to discuss your goals and match you up with the option that works best for you.

Float
32. Can the water temperature be adjusted?

Yes, we can adjust the temperature slightly upon request. Please note that requests need to be made at least 1 day in advance as we need sufficient time to heat up the water before your session. For those who are new to floating, we recommend trying our preset temperature first. It is designed to match our skin temperature and create a sensory-deprived environment where you may lose track of where the water begins and ends on your body during the session.

Float
33. Is there an age limit? Can I bring my child?

Anyone 17 and older can float by themselves.

For age 16 or below, a parent can float together with your child in our couple pod. Float
34. I am pregnant, can I float?

We have many pregnant women who float with us and find float therapy to be very therapeutic. The weightlessness the body experiences in the pod can provide immediate relief from back pain and other discomforts associated with pregnancy. Float therapy also helps to improve circulation, reduce stress and improve sleep quality. Epsom Salt in the pod helps to ease muscular tension and reduce swelling too.

In general, we recommend pregnant women to float in their second or third trimester. If you have any medical concerns, it is best to consult your doctor before visiting.

Float
35. How do I prepare for my float session, and what should I expect during and after the session?

Before your float, you should avoid caffeine and an empty/full stomach, and ensure that any cuts or wounds are covered or healed. During your session, you can expect to feel weightless and relaxed, with a sense of deep peace and calm. For people who are new to floating, it could take you a few floats to get used to it. After your session, you may feel rejuvenated and refreshed, with a heightened sense of awareness and clarity.

Float
36. What is the best way to get the most out of my float experience?

Setting an intention before your float can help you get the most out of your experience. Approach each session with an open heart and an open mind, and let go of any expectations. Cold Plunge
40. How long is a session? Can I bring a friend?

Each session is 30 minutes of private access to our outdoor area. During this time, you can take multiple cold dips, take breaks in between, and practice meditation or breathwork to help you stay focused.

You can top up and bring a friend, you can take turns using the cold barrel and warm up. It is a great way to support and motivate each other through the discomfort of the cold plunge and share your “cool” accomplishments together.

Cold Plunge
41. How long should I stay in for?

The ideal duration for a cold plunge varies depending on your experience level and personal preferences. As a general guideline, we recommend starting with shorter sessions of around 1-2 minutes and gradually increasing the time as you become more accustomed to the cold water.
It is generally recommended to avoid staying in a cold plunge for longer than 10 minutes at a time. It's important to listen to your body and pay attention to any warning signs of discomfort. Prolonged exposure to cold water can increase the risk of hypothermia and other adverse effects.

Cold Plunge
42. How often should I cold plunge?

For beginners, you can start by doing a weekly plunge. According to the basic protocol from Dr. Andrew Huberman who is a neuroscientist and professor at Stanford University, he recommends a minimum of 11 minutes total per week, divided into 2-4 sessions lasting 1-5 mins each. You can do more, but this should be the minimum to achieve the benefits of cold exposure.

Cold Plunge
43. Can I request a cooler temperature?

Our cold barrel is preset at 5-7°C. Currently, we do not offer the option to adjust the temperature.

Cold Plunge
44. Do you provide a shower?

Please arrive pre-showered as we do not have a shower available for cold plunge bookings.

Cold Plunge
45. Is there the best time of the day to do it?

You can cold plunge at any time during the day. Some people prefer to do it in the morning or during lunch breaks to invigorate them for the day. People often get a big energy boost afterwards so we don’t recommend a cold plunge within 60 minutes before going to bed. Ultimately, the best time for you to do a cold plunge is when you can commit to a consistent practice that works best for your lifestyle and goals.

Cold Plunge
46. How do you sanitize and clean?

Our Cold barrel system manufactured by the Dreampod is equipped with self-regulating pumps and a thorough filtration system. The water has to go through a 10-micron filter, capable of filtering debris in the water that’s 1/4 the size of the diameter of a human hair. We use Chlorine outside of opening hours too.

Cold Plunge
47. Can I come right after lunch?

It is best to cold plunge on an empty stomach. It can help to minimize any potential discomfort or nausea that may occur during the cold water immersion. If you are coming after lunch, we recommend waiting at least an hour after eating before taking a cold plunge. A full stomach can affect your body's ability to regulate its core temperature, which is important during cold water immersion.

Cold Plunge
48. Is there an age limit?

Anyone 17 and older can cold plunge by themselves. People aged 16 or below need to be accompanied by an adult using the cold plunge.

Cold Plunge
49. Can anyone take a cold plunge, or are there any restrictions?

Cold plunge can be an intense experience, you need to be physically and mentally capable to participate. We recommend starting with shorter sessions and gradually increasing the time as you become more accustomed to the cold water. Please avoid cold plunge if you are pregnant or have high blood pressure. If you have any medical concerns or conditions, we recommend consulting with your doctor before visiting.

Cold Plunge
50. Do you have a sauna too?

We do not have a sauna.

Cold Plunge
51. I keep shivering after the plunge, is it normal?

Shivering is a natural response to cold water immersion, and it is normal to experience it during a cold plunge. Your body's core temperature drops during the plunge, and shivering helps to generate heat and warm up your body.

However, if you continue to shiver for an extended period of time after the cold plunge, it is important to take steps to warm up and prevent hypothermia. Hypothermia occurs when the body loses heat faster than it can produce it and can be serious if left untreated. We recommend drying off and changing into warm clothes as soon as possible after the plunge. You can also try drinking a warm beverage or doing some light exercise to help increase blood flow and warm up your body.

Cold Plunge
52. Should I take a cold plunge before or after my float session?

In general, we recommend doing a cold plunge and floating on separate dates. It allows you to fully integrate and appreciate the full benefits of each therapy. They have different effects on the body and mind. However, if you have a tight schedule and can only do them on the same day, we recommend starting with a cold plunge followed by a float.

83. How would floating or cold plunge benefit our company and staff?

1) Stress Relief: Floating and cold plunging are both highly effective in reducing stress and promoting relaxation. By providing your staff with access to these therapies, you can help them manage their stress levels and improve their overall well-being.

2) Improved Focus and Productivity: After floating or cold plunging, many people report feeling more alert, focused, and productive. This can be especially beneficial for companies that require their staff to be highly focused and productive throughout the day.

89. My friend is new to floating, which option would you recommend?

As a perfect gift for people who are new to floating, we recommend our Starter Pack HK$1,500 for 3 floats in a month (1 person). This option allows them to experience float therapy on a deeper level, as it can take a few floats for their body and mind to adapt to the new and unfamiliar sensation. A single float $900 is also a great option for your friend to try out floating to see if it is something they would like to continue doing.

Alternatively sharable packs are also available for a group of friends to share floats together at a good price. You can purchase our gift cards online here.
